Could you be the full-time Bid Manager Services in Bengaluru we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your project and bid management expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside motivated, collaborative, and detail-oriented teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in delivering winning proposals that meet our Tender Quality Costs Delivery Performance (QCDP) commitments. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across the business (such as tender teams, platform units, and support functions like Finance, Legal, and Marketing), ensure compliance with Alstom’s standards, and manage the tender process from pre-tendering to contract negotiation.

You’ll specifically take care of analyzing customer requirements and defining bid strategies, but also coordinating internal activities to deliver comprehensive and competitive proposals.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Coordinating pre-tender activities to understand customer needs and influence specifications.

  • Ensuring compliance with Alstom’s rules and instructions, including ethics, safety, and project management standards.

  • Collaborating with tender leaders and teams to define bid strategies and operational plans.

  • Preparing and issuing Instructions for Quotations (IFQ) and other tender-related documentation.

  • Managing QCD optimization and obtaining clear commitments from all stakeholders.

  • Preparing risk reviews, mitigation plans, and maintaining updated risk and savings registers.

  • Contributing to contract negotiations and ensuring alignment with customer requirements and internal strategies.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

  • Experience or understanding of project or bid management, particularly in costing, planning, and risk management.

  • Knowledge of Alstom processes, including the “Golden Rules” and Ethics & Compliance standards.

  • Basic knowledge of offered products and systems.

  • Familiarity with financial, contractual, and legal aspects (e.g., cost consolidation, cash curves, bonds, and guarantees).

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and reporting skills.

  • Ability to manage team collaboration effectively under time constraints and challenging conditions.

  • A proactive mindset with a sense of anticipation and problem-solving skills.

Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines.

  • Work with innovative solutions and new security standards for rail signalling.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and supportive colleagues.

  • Contribute to impactful and forward-thinking projects.

  • Utilise our flexible and inclusive working environment.

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries.

  • Benefit from our investment in your development through award-winning learning programs.

  • Progress towards leadership or specialized roles in bid or project management.

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognizes your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension).

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
