PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• Alstom is undergoing a major transformation in the way projects are managed, in terms of business solution, organization, and ways of working. The Tender and Project Office (TPO) is at the heart of this transformation, with the objective to assist tender and project teams with value added business intelligence and reporting tools.
• In this role, you will participate and contribute to BI reporting development projects, including business requirement composition, data architecture, development (in Qlik Sens, Power BI or Business Objects), deployment, associated training and presentation of the solution to various Senior Management levels.
• Also, you will be maintaining existing reporting tools, including user access management, specification and testing enhancements, and application upgrade management.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

• In this role, to best support the project/tender community, you will need to understand data needs, locate data sources, and present them in a concise and efficient manner using BI tools. This is vital for the fast decision-making process of project and bid managers. Based on the business needs, collect, specify and develop appropriate architecture with our IT partners, and execute development (e.g. Power BI / Power Apps or Qlik Sense).
• Quality data checking to provide assurance that data used is relevant and reliable.
• Actively participate in BI tests for new business solutions under development.
• Manage the testing, validating, and deployment of any new BI application in coordination with the internal client/sponsor.
• Maintain and update existing BI reporting tools. This includes routine tasks such as user access management and data extractions, but also specifying, testing, and deploying enhancements, leading platform migration activities, and supporting users.
• Develop dashboards for KPIs and project/tender metrics.
• Coordinate with stakeholders experts to develop process improvement reports for recommendations and results.
• Perform training to end users for the BI tools developed and deployed.
• Propose process improvements/changes to the relevant Process Leaders based on the results of analyses performed.

EXPERIENCE (MANDATORY) :

• Diploma/Master-level degree in IT (software engineering)
• 5+ years of experience in developing and designing business intelligence systems
• Good experience with Power BI, Power Platform ( e.g. Power Automate and Power Apps) and or Qlik Sense
• Ability to propose and develop digital solutions using the Power Platform.

COMPETENCIES & SKILLS:

• Logic, analytical and organizational skills
• Knowledge of Power BI , Power Apps, Qlik sense, and SAP BO
• Good understanding of project execution phases and project management processes
• Good understanding of ERP systems (SAP)
• Knowledge of database languages such as MySQL
• Capacity to work in an international environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (in English)
• Ability to develop and deliver presentations to various Senior Management levels
• Team player qualities and result-oriented
• Ability to guide and provide critical feedback
• Capacity to work alone (autonomous)
• Adaptability to change
• Advance skill level in Microsoft Office applications.
