PURPOSE & Responsabilities OF THE ROLE:

 

  • Support the development of the Automation & Industry 4.0 in Coimbatore
    • Benchmark and create world class Traction/CVS manufacturing line with best in class ergonomics design
    • Define a budget and people to involve locally and globally
    • Define a clear scope of the project with defined and time boxed objectives
    • Define & follow the roadmap of the overall project
    • Create a digital factory (Industry 4.0) paperless, real time feedback, automatic data capturing & analysis through artificial intelligence, improving to reach “Zero” defects
    • Create a flow simulation of new factory and identify the virtual bottlenecks of layout before finalizing the concept
    • Define Supply Chain strategy of traction line to ensure synchronized feeding of material from Supplier to point of fit through PFEP (Plan For Every part)
    • Work with Engineering and Validate the design feasibility and flexibility of the traction line considering future requirement
    • Develop a best in class material feeding strategy with minimum movement of the components across the value chain
    • Map the plant VSM and integrate lean flow (Big 3 - Manufacturing, Logistic & Information flow) from supplier to customer to optimize throughput of traction
    • Ensure the Capex estimation, approval and spent as committed
    • Support quotation/ negotiation from supplier
    • Follow up the execution with short term objectives
    • Coordinate with all stakeholders (Industrial, Supply Chain, Site, Sourcing)
  • Lead digital E2E solutions for all 4 factories:
    • Collect requirement from Planning/ Supply Chain/ Site on factory digitalization
    • Draft the first road map
    • Build business cases to suit India requirement
    • Define a clear scope of the project with defined and time boxed objectives
    • Define a budget and people to involve locally and globally
    • Engage stakeholders, counterparts and all people interested or involved on the project to steer scalability of the project as soon as possible
    • Follow-up up the execution with short term objectives
    • Ensure consistency of requirement with AT Smart Operation Roadmap centrally

 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

EDUCATION

  • Degree from an engineering school (Operation Technology, IT, production, supply chain, …) or university with a minimum of 5 years of experience

EXPERIENCE / SKILL SET & COMPETENCIES:

  • Rigorous data analysis
  • Soft skills : interpersonal communication, network animation, working in cross cultural environment …
  • Deductive/presentation skills
  • Excellent communication, listening, presentation and writing skills
  • Good overall knowledge of new technologies (AI, digitalization, etc)
  • Good Industrial knowledge
  • Dynamic spirit / hard worker
  • Delivery minded
  • Language Skills: Proficient in English language (French is a plus)
  • IT Skills: MS office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
