Currently, the company is executing metro projects in several Indian cities including Chennai, Kochi and Lucknow where it is supplying Rolling Stock manufactured out its state of the art facility at SriCity in Andhra Pradesh. In the Mainline space, Alstom is executing Signaling & Power Supply Systems for the 343 Km. section on World Bank funded Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor. OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

 

To execute responsibilities related to Procure To Pay process for specific country/countries assigned to the role

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Payables :

  • Respond accurately and timely to queries regarding supplier invoices
  • Analyse AP ledgers with ageing and document explanations
  • Analyse debit balances and advances and document explanations
  • Analyse GRIR, and document explanations
  • Drive corrective actions for aged AP, Debit, Advances and GRIR balances
  • Overall maintain ledger hygiene for AP and GRIR
  • Analyse errors in posting
  • Perform reversals and corrections if required
     
     

Disbursements :

  • Prepare payment batch file
  • Obtain pre-approvals for payment batch
  • Execute payments to suppliers and employees
  • Perform exchange control documentation as per country exchange requirements
  • Co-ordinate for approvals in disbursement systems
  • Track rejections, returns of funds
  • Reconcile out-go with bank statements
     

 

 

Travel & Expense:

  • Perform audit on employee claims
  • Validate claims as per group policies, country specific policies and E&C guidelines
  • Work with employees to resolve litigations in claims
  • Reconcile and adjust employee advances
  • Archive documents as per country archival policies
  • Reconcile, clear employee ledgers and maintain ledger hygiene
     
    Common :
     
  • Act as the focal point of contact for other teams both within and outside the GFC
  • Be the guardian of SOPs in the day to day execution of tasks by the team
  • Be the guardian of controls in the process during execution of tasks by the team
  • Drive root cause analysis on all critical issues / errors reported, and closure of corrective and preventive actions
  • Maintain SOPs to reflect correct As-Is processes
  • Train new hires in the process
  • Perform knowledge transfer during integration projects
  • Drive standardization and processes improvements
  • Actively contribute to tools and systems deployment / enhancements or other automations

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

EDUCATION

Graduate or Post-Graduate in Accounting / Finance

Language: English & German (mandatory)

 

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Fluency in communication in English, both written and verbal
  • Team playing skills
  • Ability to adhere to set guidelines
  • Ability to challenge status quo

 

 

 

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE 

 

Mandatory

  • Good understanding of accounting
  • Working level skills in ERP
  • German Language expérience (B2)

  • 8-11 years of experience in accounting of which 4 years in P2P
