Could you be the full-time AI Project Manager in Bangalore we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your Project Management expertise in the exciting and cutting-edge field of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. You’ll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective delivery of enterprise-grade digital and AI-enabled initiatives to support operational excellence at Alstom. Day-to-day, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to shape AI use cases end-to-end— from problem framing and feasibility, through requirements and backlog refinement, to planning and tracking project activities, managing timelines and milestones, and supporting coordination across business, PMO, and delivery teams.

You’ll specifically take care of solution design discussions, assisting in backlog refinement, and ensuring smooth execution and adoption of digital initiatives, but also managing project artifacts and facilitating change management activities.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Translating business needs into clear, functional and non-functional specifications and high-quality documentation

  • Scoping AI use cases with stakeholders and defining success metrics/KPIs and acceptance criteria

  • Supporting project planning, scheduling, milestone tracking, and dependency management

  • Managing end-to-end projects, including Make vs. Buy decisions, RFP processes, and project leadership

  • Organising discovery workshops and design thinking sessions to identify, prioritise, and refine AI opportunities

  • Collaborating with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Architects, development teams, and PMO to ensure alignment

  • Managing product backlogs (epics, features, user stories) and supporting Agile ceremonies in Jira/Azure DevOps/Confluence

  • Preparing project artifacts (RAID logs, dashboards, status reports, documentation)

  • Driving UAT planning, test coordination, defect management, training, and adoption activities

  • Identifying and tracking risks across scope, timelines, resources, governance, and compliance

  • Supporting change management activities, including communication, training coordination, onboarding, and post-deployment follow-up

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data/Analytics, or equivalent with technical exposure

  • 5–10 years of experience as a Project Manager or in a similar role in enterprise-scale initiatives

  • Proven experience in requirements engineering (BRD/FRD, user stories, process modeling such as BPMN/UML, prioritization techniques, acceptance criteria)

  • Experience planning and coordinating multi-stakeholder projects, including RAID and project dashboards

  • Proficiency with BA/PM tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Strong communication and facilitation skills to interact with business and technical teams and translate complex AI/technical topics for non-technical audiences

  • Good understanding of Agile and/or Waterfall project delivery frameworks

  • Experience supporting UAT, change management, and user training for digital solutions

  • Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools like Power BI and Qlik Sense

  • Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and lifecycle (use-case framing, data pipelines, evaluation metrics, model limitations)

  • Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, CBAP, or PMI-PBA (good to have)

  • Technical foundations (good to have): basic SQL, understanding of APIs/integrations, data structures, and data quality concepts

  • Experience with agentic AI platforms (e.g., Copilot Studio, M365 Copilot, Dataiku, LibreChat) and Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) (good to have)
