Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your Business Analyst expertise in the exciting and cutting-edge field of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. You’ll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in driving innovation by bridging the gap between business and technical teams, delivering enterprise-grade AI solutions that enhance operational excellence at Alstom. Day-to-day, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to shape AI use cases end-to-end — from problem framing and feasibility, through requirements and backlog refinement, to UAT, rollout, and adoption. You’ll also contribute to AI experimentation and prototypes using multiple platforms such as M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Dataiku, and LibreChat, while promoting responsible citizen development and exploring emerging technologies in a governed manner.
You’ll specifically take care of translating business needs into clear, functional and non-functional specifications, but also managing product backlogs and supporting Agile ceremonies.
We’ll look to you for:
-
Translating business needs into clear, functional and non-functional specifications and high-quality documentation.
-
Scoping AI use cases with stakeholders and defining success metrics, KPIs, and acceptance criteria.
-
Organising discovery workshops and design thinking sessions to identify, prioritise, and refine AI opportunities.
-
Conducting stakeholder analysis, gap and impact assessments, and maintaining traceability across requirements.
-
Collaborating with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Architects, and development teams to ensure feasibility, data readiness, quality, integrations, and feature requirements, including constraints and assumptions.
-
Supporting AI prototypes/PoCs and agentic solutions with platforms like Copilot Studio, M365 Copilot, Dataiku, and LibreChat, ensuring a clear handover into delivery.
-
Driving UAT, change management, training, and adoption activities with business teams.
-
Identifying and tracking risks across security, privacy, compliance, and AI ethics/bias, working with relevant governance functions.
-
Supporting the end-to-end AI use-case lifecycle — from problem definition, data feasibility assessment, and concept validation to UAT, rollout, and adoption.
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
-
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data/Analytics, or equivalent with technical exposure.
-
5-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise-scale initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
-
Proven experience in requirements engineering (e.g., BRD/FRD, user stories, process modelling such as BPMN/UML, prioritisation techniques, acceptance criteria).
-
Strong communication and facilitation skills to translate complex AI/technical topics for non-technical audiences.
-
Understanding of AI/ML concepts and lifecycle (e.g., use-case framing, data pipelines, evaluation metrics, model limitations); experience working with DS/DE/MLOps teams is a plus.
-
Experience with agentic AI platforms (e.g., Copilot Studio, M365 Copilot, Dataiku, LibreChat) and Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
-
Technical foundations: basic SQL, understanding of APIs/integrations, data structures, and data quality concepts; familiarity with Power BI/Tableau is a plus.
-
Experience supporting UAT, change management, and user training for new digital or AI solutions.
-
Hands-on experience with Jira/Azure DevOps/Confluence; familiarity with IBM ALM (RNG, EWM, ETM) is advantageous.
-
Certifications (good to have): CBAP, PMI-PBA, Microsoft Azure AI/DP-900/AI-900, Product Owner (CSPO).
