Could you be the A&CD - UX Design Lead (Contract ) team we’re looking 

Role & Responsibilities

  • UX Leadership & Strategy
  • Lead UX strategy and execution for Alstom D&IS digital products and platforms. 
  • Define user experience vision aligned with business objectives and product roadmaps. 
  • Drive adoption of user-centered design methodologies across product teams. 
  • Advocate UX best practices and influence product decisions through data-driven insights. 
  • Product Experience Design
  • Lead end-to-end design activities from discovery to delivery.
  • Design intuitive workflows for diagnostics, troubleshooting, monitoring, and maintenance applications.
  • Simplify complex operational and technical information into meaningful user experiences. 
  • Develop user flows, interaction models, wireframes, mock-ups, and high-fidelity prototypes.
  • Design Systems & Governance
  • Drive adoption and evolution of Alstom's Design System. 
  • Establish reusable patterns, components, accessibility standards, and UX guidelines.
  • Ensure consistency and scalability across digital products. 
  • Review designs and maintain quality standards throughout development. 
  • Weekly Management Review and Tracking
  • Research & Validation
  • Collaborate with UX Researchers to identify user needs and opportunities. 
  • Participate in user interviews, usability testing, and workflow evaluations. 
  • Translate research findings into actionable product improvements. 
  • Use qualitative and quantitative insights to guide design decisions. 
  • Team Collaboration & Mentorship
  • Mentor UX/UI Designers, UX Writers, and UX Researchers.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive design culture.
  • Partner with Product Managers and Engineering Leads to align priorities and outcomes. 
  • Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback. 
  • Provide regular management updates and progress reporting. 
  • Innovation & Digital Transformation
  • Explore emerging technologies including AI-assisted workflows, predictive maintenance, and intelligent operational interfaces.
  • Support innovation initiatives and future mobility experiences across Alstom platforms. 
  • Contribute to strategic design thinking activities and product visioning exercises. 

Preferred

  • Experience in enterprise software, SaaS, industrial systems, mobility, transportation, or manufacturing domains.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary UX teams.
  • Strong understanding of Design Systems and scalable product ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with data visualization and analytics-driven interfaces.
  • Experience working in Agile product development environments. 
  • Exposure to AI-enabled user experiences and digital transformation programs. 
  • French language proficiency is advantageous but not mandatory. 

Eligibility

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Interaction Design, Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), UX Design, Service Design, or equivalent. 
  • 8+ years of professional experience in UX, Product Design, Interaction Design, or Digital Product Development. 
  • Proven experience designing complex enterprise applications and workflow-driven platforms. 
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating UX strategy, systems thinking, interaction design, and measurable business impact.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma, prototyping, and design system management. 
  • Experience collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, QA, Data, and Business stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills. 
  • Experience mentoring teams and driving UX excellence across organizations. 
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices.

Prospect

  • Explore new avenues of rail mobility by developing proposals on User Experience / Passenger Experience Design on different Alstom platforms. 
  • Collaborate with Senior Mentor & Team members to brainstorm and create innovative design solutions to ensure timely and efficient delivery. 
  • Involve in Mobility design / CMF Design / trend research and provide insights for future physital solutions in larger ecosystem of Mass Mobility. 
  • Engage in creating design presentations, visual content for UI / UX Assignments, design communication materials. 
  • Contribute to an engaging, collaborative and a thriving studio culture. 

 

Note: Contractual Role (12-15 Months) - With greater possibility for long-term extension, based on performance evaluation.
