Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your maintenance expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside motivated and energetic teammates and join our pivotal rail project for Victoria, X'Trapolis 2.0, steam rolls ahead. We have created a permanent Test Technician position to join our growing testing team. Based in Ballarat and reporting to Site Serial Test Manager, our Test Technicians are a close knit team working as part of a rotating roster to execute the necessary tests on our trains. Each role will have accountability for the testing primarily of the electrical components and will operate in accordance with the established procedures and guidelines. The rotating roster includes day, afternoon and night shifts.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Complying with safety, attention to detail and teamwork as the core principles
  • Seeking interest from individuals with experience in train testing or electrical testing in the rail/automotive/industrial or similar industry
  • The beauty of these roles, is that you will be surrounded by like minded colleagues for both support, guidance and comradery and you are encouraged to seek out and suggest process improvements or ways of working that may streamline or improve outcomes. 

 

All about you

We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual who is passionate about problem solving. You will also have

  • A Grade license
  • Trade qualifications electrical 
  • Railway industry experience is preferred 
  • Troubleshooting experience desired 
  • Team player, problem solver 
  • Experience from a similar role
