We are currently looking to recruit an Industrialisation Engineer for our team located in Braunschweig, Germany. 


As an Industrialization Engineer you will execute the industrialisation activities to ensure design for manufacturing principles are applied for all products within the mandate as defined by the Global Industrialisation Manager.

 

Your responsibilities will include:
•Execute the Industrialisation activities to ensure Design for manufacturing principles are applied for all products within the mandate as defined by the Global Industrialisation Manager.  
•Collaborate with Core Technology, development centres to provide the Design for Manufacturing feedback during the product development phase. Review design and documentation for suitability for manufacture.
•Ensure that products are developed and fully optimized using Design for Manufacturing methodology, utilising cost-effective principles.
•Collaborate with sourcing teams and producers to ensure new product developments are introduced with the right quality and in accordance with schedule.
•Technical support to the RFQ activities connected with new product developments.
•Perform Special process audits on built to print suppliers, from prototype, to first serial production.
•Following the direction of the Design for Manufacturing Lead, verify that the latest innovations and effectives production techniques are considered during the development phase.
•Collaborate with all the stakeholders and Design for manufacturing Lead to define the latest processes and most effective ways of working.
•Accountable to project manage the product introduction of all new developments, as allocated by the Global Industrialisation manager, to secure first serial deliveries.  Work together with the development centres to define the critical path tasks, connected to the Test development, supplier selection, supplier RFQ and production start-up.

 

Key requirements/Qualifications:

• BSc in Engineering / Computer technology/ Electronics.
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Previous working experience with PDM system. 
• Knowledge of PCBA design.
• Good experience on product introduction and Design for Manufacturing. 
• Good understanding of engineering processes and tools. 
• Experience in working with Engineering, Procurement, International and external Suppliers.
• Ability to build a strong network of contacts across the business.
• Structured and driven individual with good communication and collaborative abilities.
• Ability to travel to European and worldwide destinations 5-10 times per year.
• Experience with product introduction projects with many different stakeholders.
• Fluent in German and English incl. good communication skills.
