- Ability to optimize designs
Responsibilities
Support Metallics product costing:
- Perform Should Costing of Metallics Commodities to set/reach target buy price
- Build quick costing of Metallic commodities based on could cost rate card
- Identify and present key Cost Drivers
- Delivers should costing to projects teams
- Validate cost inputs for technical, sourcing, industrial
- Work with Cross Functional teams to optimize product to reach set target cost
- Lead product value engineering ideas working with Engineering, sourcing & Industrial teams
- Challenges contributors to improve the cost of reference solutions (design
simplifications, industrial schemes improvement, make or buy, LLCC)

Knowledge & Experience:
Candidates must have at least 3+ years of experience in Value Engineering/ Product costing
Recommended skills:
- Demonstrated proficiency in value engineering principles as applied to products
- Commercial acumen to challenge suppliers & internal teams
- Proficient with office IT
- Highly numerate, literate and articulate
- Experience with product costing for projects
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Focused on delivery of activities within tight deadlines
