Prepare and execute test and commissioning activities for signalling systems on field, in support to one or several projects.  Manage, as a team leader, T&C technicians.


 

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES  


§Prepare and execute testing activities 

o in support to one or several Projects on railway signalling systems under the direction of his / her hierarchy
o according to the testing procedure / documentation and following Sub-system T&C Leader and / or  PrCOM instructions

§Ensure defects identification and correction (trouble shooting) 
§In the event of a non-conformity observed during the commissioning phase, make a return experience (REX) towards the project, and ensure that all design related issues are correctly reported in the adequate tools, including the defect description and associated test context
§Ensure follow-up of detected issues and deliver the commissioning reports.
§Check that the test tools are in perfect working order and calibrated.
§Support V&V team and perform test in lab as per request
§Deliver the committed performance in terms of Quality, Costs and Deadlines and in compliance with Alstom policies, local standards and regulations (in particular EHS and Railway Safety)

Performance Measurement
§Efficiency and proactivity during the execution of the T&C tests
§Compliance to EHS (Zero Deviation) and Regulatory standards
§Quality of anticipation, monitoring and reporting 
 

Specific requirements for Atlanta Project:

  • To supervise the Electrical Installer (EI) to execute the switch refursbishiment,
  • To execute PICO and static tests the signaling circuits related to the track circuit (loops, signals, MRR,  SLCC).
  • Log NCR in RTC, draft test reports and assist Engineering to troubleshoot failures.
  • Engaje in dynamic tests to prove the system performance and functionality.


 

MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES
 

Educational Requirements
Mandatory: 

§    Master's degree in engineering (preferably electronics or embedded systems) or equivalent experience. 
§    Good knowledge of English language (read, written, spoken)    Desirable:
§    Railway and signaling knowledge
§    Any other additional language is an asset

 

Experience 
Mandatory: 

§    2 years of experience in either railway signaling or APM systems.

Desirable:
§    Previous Engineering, V&V, T&C or Maintenance for Railway Signaling is an asset.
§    Team management skills

§    Knowledge or CF550 or CF650 is very desirable.
