Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for the execution of installation supervision and testing & commissioning activties related to railway signaling subsystems up to successful completion and handover to customer or warranty group
- Executes testing activities and training of new Engineers on our railway signaling systems, and enrure the testing & commissioning process is executed based on approved procedures, and to be in compliance to standarads, regulations and local laws.
- Reports all test and field frequently to ITC Manager. Ensure indentificaion of non-conformities, defects and installation issues.
- Ensure the installation and T&C process is applied correctly by ITC project team
- Support test lead with scheduling
- Ensure follow-up of detected issues and deliver the commissioning reports.
- Provide daily reports and provide progress through periodic KPIs
- Provide when applicable Returns on Experience (REX - Lessons Learned) on ITC activities and propose updates/improvements on installaion and T&C process/way of working to optimize the ITC operation
- Check that the test tools are in perfect working order and calibrated.
- Support V&V team and perform test in lab as per request
- Deliver the committed performance in terms of Quality, Costs and Deadlines and in compliance with Alstom policies, local standards and regulations (in particular EHS and Railway Safety)
Performance Measurement
- Efficiency and proactivity during the execution of the T&C tests
- Compliance to EHS (Zero Deviation) and Regulatory standards
- Quality of anticipation, monitoring and reporting
- Prepare and execute test, perform log analaysis and prepare test reprots
Specific for Atlanta 300R Project
- Execute testing activities in the lab and/or field. Record test results in test sheets and log issues and create NCRs with the guidance of Engineers or the Test Leads
- To perform supervision of installation by the EI, support/execute the Electrical Installer to execute PICO (Post Installation Check-Out).
- Work alongside customer, O&M, and vendors. Support signalling equipment installation and PICO execution.
- Provide daily progress reports, updating KPIs and escalating issues to the appropriate subsystem lead.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field. Equivalent experience of 8 years in an engineering position may substitute for degree
- Minimum 2 years experience in the installation, or test and commissioning of train signal and/or communication systems.
