Could you be the full-time onsite EHS Project Manager in Atlanta, GA, US we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your environmental, health, and safety expertise in a dynamic and impactful field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates.

You'll play a critical role in creating a safe and healthy environment for our people and contractors while minimizing environmental impacts. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as project management, subcontractor teams, and HR), implement emergency plans, and ensure compliance with statutory and company requirements, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of EHS risk assessments and emergency planning, but also support project teams in achieving EHS performance goals.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Ensuring EHS risk assessments are conducted and appropriate measures are implemented for the project.

  • Preparing, implementing, and maintaining emergency plans at the project level.

  • Monitoring subcontractor activities to ensure EHS compliance, especially at operational interfaces.

  • Providing coaching, support, and assessments to EHS teams within the project.

  • Ensuring compliance with Alstom EHS standards and tools, such as the Zero Deviation Plan (AZDP) and Transport Operational Performance in Environment (TOPE).

  • Preparing and implementing EHS training and communication plans with HR support.

  • Investigating and analyzing accidents/incidents and sharing lessons learned through REX reports.

  • Submitting monthly EHS reports and maintaining accurate records and documentation.

  • Monitoring historical pollution and associated risks.

  • Driving continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance.


All about you

  • A university degree in engineering or business (desirable), or equivalent experience

  • Hands-on EHS experience in transportation, automotive, rail, or industrial manufacturing (or related fields) 

  • 3+ years of experience in Environment, Health & Safety, with 5–8 years of professional experience overall 
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA and NFPA regulations

  • EHS-related qualification/certification

  • Good knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards.

  • Deep understanding of local legal requirements.

  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills.

  • Initiative, action-driven mindset, and excellent communication skills.

  • Analytical thinking and a rigorous approach to problem-solving.

  • Proficiency in continuous improvement tools and strong computer skills.

  • No regular travel expected ; About less than 5% for trainings/conferences if needed
