Description : Helpb Purpose of the Job

  • Drive the Platform Screen Door (PSD) and Depot Equipment (DEQ) scope on the Project until contract closure, respecting the Quality, Cost and Delay (QCD) commitment & the Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) target. Manage technically the PSD/DEQ scopes for Athens Metro project and deal with internal and external sub-systems interfaces. Be the technical representative in front of customer, from design phase up to the end of warranty period. Specifies and validates, with his team, the PSD/DEQ Sub-Systems, and controls the technical consistency through a strong interfaces management, coordination with all design and quality units, QCD approach.

         Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver DEQ and PSD Subsystems according to  QCD , Contract and Safety commitments as specified at contract signature & related signed Variation Orders (responsibility of Profit Loss on the DEQ/PSD scope)
  • Ensure that the project workload needs are well forecasted and anticipated
  • Participate and prepare Monthly Project Review (MPR) for PSD/DEQ as per rules defined in MPR instructions
  • Define, review & adjust strategies for the Project Execution
  • Animate and lead operationally the PSD/DEQ Team, defining the Project priorities
  • Support the Infra Project Manager in proposing and negotiating variations orders and claims with customer
  • Support Infra Project Manager in getting customer acceptance of the project
  • Ensure Alstom Processes, Methods and Tools are applied on project
  • Ensure EHS rules are applied
  • Manage the technical contractual scope of the project
  • Coordinate with the PSD/DEQ Suppliers and ensure compliance of the technical design with Contract requirement
  • Ensure that all technical requirements of the contract are fully addressed and implemented throughout the project lifecycle, from the design stage up to the demonstration tests
  • Manage Work Package activity at requested level
  • Manage the project technical risks and the corresponding mitigation plan
  • Monitor the progress of equipment manufacturing and participate to the factory tests
  • Provide report and monthly measurements on the status of PSD/DEQ progress in the different stages of execution (design, delivery on site, construction, testing and commissioning)
  • Manage all PSD/DEQ interfaces with System and with other project sub-systems   
  • Provide required data to the Infra project Manager and the Project Planner for continuous monitoring of the time schedule and its adaptation if necessary
  • Manage the project solution to meet Quality, Cost, delivery and Performance (QCPD) commitments
  • Coordinate and Manage the PSD/DEQ Engineers/supervisors
  • Control, with the support of the Configuration Manager, the Project configuration
  • Manage the project technical risks and the corresponding mitigation plan
  • Ensure that all deliverables from suppliers are provided in due time
  • During project warranty, coordinate actions to support resolution of pending technical issues following Project Warranty Manager (PrWM) requirements
  • Support Infra PrQSM to consolidate the REX of the Project and the Reliability Growth

 

 

Performance measurements:

  • Project QCDP (quality, cost, delivery and performance)
  • Obtain Customer approval on all the technical aspects of the project regarding DEQ*/PSD scope  
  • Obtain External Stakeholders approval and commitment on exported requirements and interfaces
  • Responsible for project PSD/DEQ deliverables and coordination with onsite installation and T&C teams
  • Responsible for full project requirement database maturity
  • Application of all Engineering Processes

 

        Educational requirements :

        Mandatory

        MEng, Degree of Science in Engineering, certified by the Technical Chamber of Greece

        Desirable

        IPMA level C (or equivalent)

 

Experience :

Mandatory

  • 8 years of professional experience in Engineering/technical/Installations functions
  • 4 years of professional experience in Railway Industry
  • Broad knowledge of Railway Systems
  • Demonstrate QCD commitment on delivering engineering works

Desirable

  • Knowledgeable of Alstom ways of working for efficient process execution
  • DEQ/PSD Experience
