Purpose of the Job

Execution of equipment installation activities in the field and onboard according to project planning and Installation Supervisor orientations and instruction with a special competency as technician expert.

 

Organizational Reporting

Direct reporting: Installation Supervisor

 

Performance Measurement

  • Quality of installation activities (Number of Punch Points).
  • Productivity as per reference Library.
  • Issue of Red and Yellow drawing reports
  • Installation Reports as per Project Progress
  • Maintenance Reports as per maintenance plan

 

Responsibilities

The Installation technician will assume all worker responsibilities as such:

  • Executes of specific installation activities according the design documentation and Supervisor Installation orientation / instruction.
  • Complies with Environmental Health & Safety procedures and maintain PPE  (Personal Protective Equipment) defined by EHS, makes sure collective protections are in place, and alerts the supervisor whenever any deviation to EHS rules or EHS risk is identify.
  • Makes sure he has the right means to perform the installation:
    • Tools calibrated
    • Understanding of drawings and Method statement
    • Right material
    • Accurate knowledge / training for performing the work
  • Performs activities with quality – No deviation versus drawings and method statement = No punch point -
  • Reports and alerts the hieratical superior if any risk, difficulties or issues are identified during the installation activities that may impact the safety, the quality and/or the performance of the work.

 

In addition, as Technician, he/she will assume following responsibilities:

  • Has an expertise for some critical tasks – for example technical: IXL (Signaling Interlocking), TEL-FO (Telecom & Optical Fiber Installation), PS (Power Supply), Process: special processes such as crimping and torquing- and therefore will be dedicated for these tasks on various projects,
  • Trains and assess project team – Team Leader or Worker – for the developing skills and competencies on his expertise knowledge for a dedicated project or for the Regional Center.

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • Degree in Electrical engineering from Technical University will be considered as an asset
  • Proven experience in installation and maintenance of railway signaling systems will be considered an asset.
  • Electrical Installations Licensed.
  • Process oriented.
  • Fluent in Greek. Able to communicate in English.
  • Located in Larissa, South Greece.
  • Able to travel across Greece when required.
  • Possession of OSE certification for working below electrified network 25kV will be considered an asset.
