Could you be the full-time Direct Buyer in Astana we’re looking for?

 

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your procurement expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Procurement Manager Meruyert Sarmasheva, and work alongside passionate and inquisitive teammates.

You'll guarantee full coverage for production needs. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering etc.), contribute to budget optimization and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of all the contracts for materials within scope, but also support colleagues with any issues around suppliers.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Ensuring savings for the rolling stock budget.
  • Conduct sourcing and contracting process strictly adhering to Alstom policies and processes.
  • Negotiation of cost reduction with suppliers.
  • Full Sourcing support for any identified project activities / requirements, including deputizing for the Unit Sourcing Manager.
  • Regular benchmarking and maintenance of market intelligence to validate costs and drive cost reduction activities where appropriate.
  • Acting as an ambassador for Alstom and the Sourcing function both internally and externally.
