Could you be the full-time Industrial Quality Engineer/Technician in Sabarmati we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your quality assurance and control expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, innovative, and proactive teammates.
You'll ensure the compliance of products and parts delivered and serviced by Alstom facilities, contributing to the quality and safety of our innovative transportation systems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including Operations, Warranty, Industrialization & Supply Chain, Sourcing, and APSYS, as well as external stakeholders like customer representatives, suppliers, and subcontractors. You’ll also play a key role in driving site improvement actions and programs related to industrial quality.
You’ll specifically take care of performing inspections, checks, and tests on products and subassemblies, but also documenting results and launching necessary corrective actions.
We’ll look to you for:

Performing inspections of subassemblies or finished products using defined criteria and standard measurements

Inspecting and accepting or rejecting products based on working instructions

Documenting non-conformance reports (NCRs) and inspection results, and initiating corrective actions

Maintaining controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner
-
Following up on open issues and driving actions for closure

Ensuring proper calibration of critical equipment and instrumentation used in inspections
-
Assisting in writing and updating inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists
-
Evaluating problems and recommending corrective actions
-
Alerting industrial teams on risks of missing parts due to defects

Reporting inspection results and key performance indicators (KPIs) to the Industrial Quality Manager

Stopping production in case of critical defects requiring mandatory rework

Supporting manufacturing teams with self-inspection processes
-
Ensuring quality animation methodology in line with APSYS requirements

Diploma, BE, or B.Tech in Engineering

Experience in quality assurance/quality control, with 7 to 12 years in the quality domain or rolling stock

Technical background in electromechanical, electrical, material, or mechanical products

Knowledge of quality standards (e.g., ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI) and quality tools
-
Familiarity with NCR management, 8D analysis, and SAP (QM module)

Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
-
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams

Proficiency in English and Hindi

Agility, problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset

Ability to manage documentation and operational activities efficiently
