We are looking for our future Project planner to be based in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

Main Responsibilities

    Apply the company's time management processes
    Promote the time management practices and culture in the project team
    Learn and apply the return of experience (REX) from previous projects


In contract or program execution:

    Develop quality schedules in line with the company's procedures, contractual requirements, and stakeholder inputs
    Contribute to formulate the project execution strategy
    Participate in or ensure the validation of the baseline schedule
    Contribute to the development of the Project Time Management Plan
    Organize and lead regular project schedule review sessions, under PrPM supervision
    Ensure the alignment of commitments from both internal and external stakeholders and manage schedule interfaces.
    Update both internal and external schedules punctually and in accordance with the standards set out in the Time Management Plan.
    Create/update Installation Plannings
    Identify critical paths and potential delays.
    Collaborate with the project team to identify and monitor risks and opportunities related to the on-time delivery of the project.
    Uptodate schedule and progress reports, including time-related KPIs, and analyse gaps between the actual progress and the baseline.
    Offer support to teams on any schedule-related issues.
    Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate inputs and define project schedule interfaces.
    Identify the project schedule's critical path and risks, suggesting optimization and mitigation actions.
    Highlight differences between the intial assumptions and the actual schedule
    Ensure on-time delivery of schedule-related deliverables


Performance measurement in contract or program execution:
    Timely updates of schedule and time related KPIs
    Timely updates of schedule related documents
    Maintain the schedule in line with defined quality metrics

 

Educational Requirements:
Engineering or Business degree
3 to 5 years experience post degree in:
Project management or technical roles in industrial or construction sectors

Project scheduling experience is mandatory

Knowledge of different scheduling tools P6 Primavera / MS Project


Competencies & Skills:
Working knowledge and skills in project scheduling theory and methods.
Proficiency in at least one scheduling software tool
Knowledge of Macro Excel
Working skills in MS office tools
Basic knowledge of time-related contractual obligations and penalties.
Basic, broad knowledge of railway industry products and technologies.
Curiosity and a drive to learn
Good communication and interpersonal skills; an effective team player.
Ability to challenge teams and proactively propose solutions.
Structured and critical thinking skills.
Adaptability in a multi-cultural and rapidly changing environment
