Could you be the full-time EHS Project Support Specialist in Abidjan we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your environmental, health, and safety (EHS) expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside proactive and collaborative teammates.
You'll help ensure the safety and well-being of project teams while contributing to Alstom’s commitment to sustainability and safety excellence. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (project managers, EHS leads, and cross-functional departments), support the development of EHS management systems, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of EHS risk assessments and compliance monitoring, but also support training initiatives and incident reporting.
We’ll look to you for:
- Supporting the EHS Project Manager with EHS-related matters
- Cooperating with internal resources to achieve EHS objectives
- Assisting in conducting EHS risk assessments and implementing control measures
- Coordinating and monitoring EHS activities, including managing interfaces with other contractors or operational areas
- Providing guidance to project staff to prevent injuries, equipment damage, and environmental pollution
- Recognizing and promoting best practices and positive performance
- Ensuring compliance with Alstom's EHS standards and reacting to any violations
- Developing and maintaining EHS management systems aligned with Alstom and international standards (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001)
- Supporting the deployment of Alstom’s EHS tools and standards at the project level
- Contributing to EHS training programs, including induction sessions and toolbox meetings
- Assisting in reporting, investigating, and analyzing incidents to implement corrective actions
- Conducting workplace inspections and EHS audits, reporting any anomalies

- Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field
- Experience or understanding of EHS management systems and standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
- Knowledge of risk assessment and emergency planning
- Familiarity with EHS compliance and legal requirements
- A certification in EHS (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent)
- Strong communication and training skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments
