Could you be the full time Signalling Senior System Engineer (f/m/d) in Zurich we’re looking for? 
 

Your Future Role 
140 years of Swiss railway history meet modern solutions for green mobility in Zurich. With 300 colleagues, our Zurich site servs as a global competence center for high-performance traction technology and a development hub for locomotives, bogies, mechanical and electrical systems, as well as services for the local and global markets. Our corporate functions play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the performance of our sites. You’ll report to Sidhant Tomar and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

 

We’ll look for you to : 
•    Managing the technical aspects of signalling projects: Working closely with the Signalling Team to manage the technical aspects of signalling projects. Understanding customer’s requirements and translating them into technical solutions. Analyzing customer’s needs, defining the scope of the project, and identifying the most appropriate signalling technologies to meet those needs.
•    Support CBTC & ETCS Signalling Projects: Support ETCS and CBTC bids and projects by providing technical solutions. 
•    Ensuring system compatibility:  Working closely with other technical experts to ensure that all systems are designed to work together seamlessly and that projects meet their needs and requirements. Participating in meetings and presentations, responding to inquiries, and providing technical support.
•    Coordinating project activities: Ensuring that systems meet specifications. Providing technical guidance, answering questions, and resolving technical issues that arise during the project.
•    Supporting Bid Teams: Providing technical input and guidance for proposals and tender submissions. Participating to tender meetings with customers and providing technical guidance to the bid team to propose the technically right and appropriate signalling solution. Acting as the technical interface between development teams, customer and bid team
•    Communicating with stakeholders: Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, developing teams and project teams. Communicating with all stakeholders to ensure that the design and implementation of signalling systems is aligned.

•    Master's Degree in Electrical or Computer Science Engineering
•    5+ years of relevant experience in railway, defense, aerospace or equal
•    Knowledge of electrical schematics 
•    Autonomous and proactive working method and strong problem-solving skills
•    Good knowledge of English and German
•    Flexibility to travel 25 - 30% of the working time
