Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical skills in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to the Senior Superintendent, and work alongside a close-knit team of service/maintenance professionals who play a critical role in the maintenance for the NGR Train Fleet, based at Wulkuraka. You will assist the Service Maintainers in the bogie workshop with all aspects of the strip down and rebuild of bogies as part of the re-wheel program and future overhauls. this includes the exchange of brake discs, callipers, and traction motors, as well as other ancillary components.

We’ll look to you for:

• Assisting in the rebuild of bogies, including includes the exchange of brake discs, callipers, and traction motors, as well as other ancillary components.

• Material handling including the operation of the crane and forklift to assist with move bogies and wheelsets.

• Recording of incoming and outgoing parts and components.

• General upkeep and tidying of the workshop.

• Assisting the Service Maintainers with ad-hoc tasks as required.

• A valid Forklift Licence is preferred but not essential.
