Logistics Operator - General Warehouse Work

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Transports material between various manufacturing sections, incoming/receiving, and storerooms using various material handling equipment including hand trucks, pallet jacks, dollies, etc.
  2. Performs basic mathematical functions to conduct cycle counting. 
  3. Works closely with traffic department for global packaging and shipping. 
  4. Performs kitting and inventory accurately. 
  5. Performs all dispatching duties including but not limited to issuing, relieving, adding shortages; closing shop orders; working with Engineering Change Notices to add/remove parts, etc. 
  6. Receives incoming materials and follows approved receiving process.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Licenses and Certifications:

  • Demonstrates advanced computer skills including the ability to use a computer’s scroll bars, mouse, and dialog boxes to work within the operating system.  Possesses familiarity with Bombardier specific databases including the PMS system. 
  • Utilizes Microsoft Excel to enter, manipulate and format text and numerical data; insert, delete and manipulate cells, rows and columns; and create and save worksheets. 
  • Uses Microsoft Word to type text, format, edit, print, save and retrieve documents. 
  • Understands written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
  • Utilizes math skills to solve basic problems. 
  • Utilizes various material handling equipment including hand trucks and automated material storage equipment. 
  • Ability to obtain a fork-truck driver’s license within a reasonable timeframe.

 

Education and/or Experience

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
