Within Alstom's Digital & Integrated Systems division, our Villeurbanne Development Center is in charge of designing and industrializing Alstom's Signalling Products.

Validation and Verification Engineer – Lane Signalling Products (M/F)

Based in Villeurbanne (69) 20 minutes by public transport from Part Dieu train station

 

Your position 🌈

As a V&V Designer you play a pillar role by intervening in several stages of the development cycle: from the upstream phase of capturing customer needs to integration with the customer.

At the heart of the design team and closest to the customer, you work on high-level system validation activities. You work in a stimulating technical context on products with strong real-time and network constraints, in a high-stakes system context.

 

Your missions 🛠

As a Validation and Verification engineer, reporting to the Validation Manager, you will participate in all Validation & Verification activities:

  • Participate in defining the program verification and validation strategy in the V&V plan, and act proactively for its implementation
  • Participate in the specification and design of integration and test means, and carry out the development of these means (test bench, recording tools, simulation software, etc.)
  • Participate in the writing of test plans
  • Summarize test results
  • Ensure a technical interface with other professions, in particular with the system and software profession
  • Provide support to product users
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and capitalization of the validation profession within the program.

 

The tests are carried out mainly in the laboratory, but validation engineers may also be required to work directly on trains or ground installations.

 

You are our ideal candidate if… 🤩

You have the following skills and qualities:

  • Graduate of Bac+5 training in IT such as an engineering school or university equivalent
  • Desired experience: first significant experience in a highly technical environment (in the field of electronics/embedded computing/industrial networks), ideally in the design and development of embedded systems, and the technical implementation of system testing
  • Rigor, technical curiosity, interpersonal skills and sense of initiative,
  • Good capacity for synthesis, adaptability, sense of responsibility
  • Passionate about software and new technologies
  • You like working in a team and network in an agile and multicultural environment
  • Technical English essential

 

You will be based in our premises in Villeurbanne (Metro Line A, Tramway T3 – La Soie), occasional travel in the Paris region.
