Location: Valenciennes

You will join our Component Devopment Center Interiors, Key actor in the design and development or interior train parts  for Rolling Stock , with more than 180 people,  & 20 different nationalities , designer, buyer, industrial, quality, Project Managers, & Experts , working both for French & international projects.

What are my responsibilities?

As a Costing manager, you are managing a team of multicultural costing engineers.

Your responsibilities include:

• Manage, train and recruit a multicultural team of costing engineers
• Support sourcing buyers by providing internal costing targets and challenging the supplier costing.
• Ensure that the proposed design is in line with budget allocated before RFQ launch
• Evaluate the project cost viability form Supplier Business Award till serial production.
• Create/improve/update Costing tools and databases regularly.
• Lead Design to Cost and Manufacture to Cost workshops with suppliers and internal departments throughout the life of the projects.
• Increase the costing expertise of the CDS Interiors Engineering teams.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

In this role, you are expected to build effective working relationships across a diverse project team, with the ultimate goal of establishing a frank and transparent dialogue with your peers.

Minimum qualifications

• Experience in costing and team management. Industrial or Engineering Experience in Railway industry is a plus.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience in complex or international projects.
• Engineering school degree or equivalent with mechanical knowledge (Composite, Metallurgy, Plastic)

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Catia V5
• Experience in Engineering / Industrial in Industry.
• Good knowledge in Excel.
