PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • Master the quality of deliveries by ensuring accuracy, consistency, and traceability of the delivered products and services through the application of CCM activities in a Low Critical Project or Program (Level 3).
  • Accountable that all Project/Program stakeholders apply the CCM process.
  • Keep the project/program configuration under control and manage changes during the whole lifecycle of the Project or Program.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES 

  • Is leading the CCM activities in a Project/Program or is supporting the Advanced PrCCM or the Senior PrCCM when applicable.
  • Promotes the Alstom Code of Ethics and adheres to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
  • Applies CCM standard procedures, instructions, templates etc. and ensures that team members do not bypass them.
  • Represents the CCM Métier in project/program and site meetings.
  • Contributes to REX and suggests improvements of the CCM activities
  • Ensures the activities and Roles & Responsibilities  defined in the Configuration Management Plan (CMP) are applied and followed.
  • Ensures Configuration and Change Management applicable tools are applied and manages access rights.
  • Evaluates and provides the compliance statement on all CCM related requirements (i.e. customer, partner and internal).
  • Ensures all functional representatives involved in their Project/Program are trained.
  • Reports and escalates any CCM related issues within the Project / Program organization and proposes possible solution.
  • Reports on CCM Performance Indicators, derives and manages actions (PDCA).
  • Ensures the execution Development for Quality (DfQ) Gates for CCM deliverables.
  • Performs configuration management activities, such as:
    • Identification, management and accuracy of items under configuration control.
    • Preparation of Configuration Strategy and release notes, following review with stakeholders, for Configuration Baselines, incl. for sub-system target configuration data and ensures consistency.
    • Ensure the establishment of the Configuration Status Accounting Report (CSAR) (i.e. As Build/As Maintained/As Installed) and monitoring of its compliance.
    • Ensures Supplier Configuration Management incl. CCM requirement negotiation and requested CCM documentation.
    • Ensures the "end-to-end" traceability of every change request including assignment to Baseline and/ or Target Configuration.
  • Performs Change Management activities, such as:
    • Organizes and leads the Change Boards.
    • Ensures the completeness, correctness, clarity and timeline of Change Requests in cooperation with the Change requestor, throughout all stages of a change request.
    • Monitors Change requests and aligns all project/program stakeholders on the changes.
    • Prioritizes Change Requests in cooperation with requestor and other involved functions, incl. assignment to a  Configuration Baseline.
    • Facilitates event management (e.g. electrical, software etc.) and transfer when necessary into the Change Management Process

 

MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES

Educational Requirements

Mandatory:

  • Graduate of University degree in any of Engineering/Project Management/Business Management or equivalent.

 

Desirable:

Experience

Mandatory:

  • Knowledge of Configuration & Change Management
  • Knowledge of Business Process Management, Project Management, Risk Management, Requirements Management Supply Chain, Engineering, Industrialization, Data Management and Document Control inter-related with CCM.
  • Work experience in an international environment

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Alstom configuration & change processes and related processes of contributing Métiers/ / Functions
  • Above 3 years of experience in a configuration and change management role.
  • Experience in the entire CCM lifecycle of a Project/Program.

Competencies & Skills

  • Mandatory knowledge of railway products, railway solutions (signalling, telecom etc.), systems and components
  • Knowledge of CCM tools (ALM, Clear Quest, Clear Case SAP, PLM, AEC-tpPLM  etc.)
  • Ability to communicate with all involved project/program stakeholders
  • Good English language skills
  • Systematic, rigorous, proactive and organized with good attention to details.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement on processes and standards
  • Is a team contributor and sets a good environment for team colleagues
