MAIN RESPONSABILITIES  

Accountabilities:

  • Diagnostic and Repair: Accurately diagnose issues with equipment or systems and execute efficient repairs to ensure they meet or exceed quality standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of repairs, including parts used, time spent, and any additional information required for tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Adherence to Safety Protocols: Follow established safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment and prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Adherence to Quality Protocols: Follow established quality procedures and guidelines to ensure an optimal repair process.

Authorities:

  • Parts and Resources: Request and utilize necessary parts, tools, and resources required for effective repairs within budgetary constraints.
  • Process Improvement Suggestions: Contribute ideas and suggestions for improving repair processes based on hands-on experience and technical expertise.

 

 MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES

Educational Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent

Mandatory:

  • Graduated from electronics or electro mechanic.

 

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of industrial maintenance.

Experience

Mandatory:

  • Knowledge of rail vehicles & sub-systems
  • Information Systems including ERP and Product Data Management
  • Knowledge of repair process.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of electronic system design and industrialization, preferably in rail or similar.
  • 3 years’ experience in a technical role in rail or similar industry

Competencies & Skills

  • Spanish language (Additional English language is desirable)
  • IT: MS-Office (Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Word) essential; MS Access and Visio + SAP desirable
  • Technical Proficiency - Competence in diagnosing and repairing a variety of electronic systems. Knowledge of tools and equipment.
  • Problem-Solving Skills - Ability to analyze complex issues, troubleshoot problems, and develop effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Attention to Detail -   Thoroughness in inspecting and assessing equipment to ensure accurate diagnosis and effective repairs.
  • Communication Skills - Clear and concise communication regarding repair progress and findings.
  • Adaptability - Flexibility to work with various types of equipment and adapt to evolving technologies and repair methods.
  • Safety Awareness and Quality awareness - Strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations
