Inside the Indirect Sourcing department (>4Bn€ purchases) we are looking for a Commodity Manager for Corporate Services – Travel and Mobility.
The Commodity Manager will be hierarchically linked to the Corporate Services Commodity Director and will be involved in the sourcing, negotiation and securing of Travel and Mobility supplier contracts.
The successful applicant will manage numerous internal and external stakeholders to develop the Commodity at global level and define the Procurement strategies necessary to deliver value for money and fit for purpose solutions.
 
He/she will have to exchange information with the following central, region & sites networks:
•    Global, Regional and Local Procurement
•    EHS & CSR (Environment …)
•    Finance/Legal/Sourcing Efficiency
•    IS&T
•    Travel Manager
 
The Commodity Manager will have the following objectives:
•    Coordinate and source in line with the business objectives and according to ALSTOM procurement processes
•    Define & develop commodity strategies with all stakeholders and drive its implementation (with all the Product lines)
•    Contribute to build Global Travel and Mobility Commodity strategy
•    Lead commodity maturity improvement plan
•    Negotiate contracts and frame agreements with key suppliers
•    Define a supplier target panel in-line with Sourcing strategy and make sure it is implemented
•    Insure commodity strategy efficiency with benchmarking 
•    Insure commodity maturity improvement through audit support and continuous improvement programs
•    Innovate with best practices proposals
•    Be recognized as a business development facilitator and an added-value contributor
 
He/she has these responsibilities:
•    Built transversal commodity strategies improvement and deployment
o    Develop and share market constraints knowledge
•    Ensure Procurement project/service execution/influence by:
o    Developing close network of internal and external stakeholders worldwide
o    Working with internal stakeholders to align requirements with Procurement objectives
o    Challenging technical specifications produced by stakeholders
o    Bringing innovation through supplier selection and sustain supplier QCD performance
o    Contributing to Make or Buy decision process utilizing reference costing and market indicators
o    Supporting global negotiation for key projects securing savings in line with global targets
o    Ensuring Procurement strategy application and alignment with processes and policy
o    Develop strong relationship with region and sites procurement organization
o    Support Tender and Project Phases
o    Drive supplier complex negotiations as appropriate
o    Perform regular (min. quarterly) supplier performance review (incl. quality) and solves major issues and secures objectives achievement
•    Managing multicultural team
•    Managing direct reports
 
PROFILE
•    Educational Degre: Business school or Engineering school preferred
•    5-8 years of experience in international purchasing within an industrial environment & Experience within Project Management (direct and functional)
•    Technical & Behavioral Competencies
o    Strong buying and negotiating expertise
o    Capability to build a robust strategy
o    Strong sense of business acumen and analytical skills
o    Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills
o    Management experience
o    Results, Service and Customer oriented
o    Agile in a multi-cultural environment

o    Speaking English and French mandatory
o    Able to regularly travel to Saint-Ouen (20%/30%)
