The role of the Parts & Component Repair Overhaul (CRO) Business Growth Program Manager is to lead and manage the various integrated and coordinated projects enabling the Parts & CRO strategy to reach our Sales and Margin targets, as well as to lead associated reviews and governance.

 

It is a key strategic role for the organization and our ability to growth the Aftermarket Parts & Overhauls North Americas business. Reporting directly to the Head of Parts & CRO, the Business Growth Program Manager will be expected to work autonomously and independently, as well as to let a team to deliver the growth plan.  This role will be based in St-Bruno, Canada or in Mississauga, Canada or in Naperville, USA.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Implement the Parts & CRO sales and business development strategy and execution of projects accordingly.  Increase order volume, sales, and gross margin in line with the budget and business objectives.
  • Assemble and articulate the 3-year and 5-year strategic plan of Parts & CRO
  • Develop schedule and action plans to grow the parts, repair, overhaul, and Technical Support Spares Supply Agreement (TSSSA) in North Americas.
  • Oversee and coordinate the various projects supporting the growth strategy such as
    • Implement the Alstom Part and Overhaul Operating model (APO-Line).  Pushing the creation of new opportunities with Customer (Alstom installed based analysis, follow-up with the Sales team, support of data analysis).  Optimizing the pricing strategy and leveraging inflation
    • Develop upstream the business readiness (maximize parts list pricing, obsolescence as a leaver, aftermarket clause in rolling stock contract, upsell warranty aftermarket, boots on the ground program
    • Systemize and leverage component overhaul solutions as well as R&D program
    • Enter new market (develop new solutions, prepare plan for merger, acquisition and partnering)
    • Offer new customer experience trough virtual solutions and expand the parts catalogue (SAP GSI optimization, unsolicited Health Hub and TSSSA proposal, virtual parts catalogue)
  • Work with Team Leads and Project Managers to identify, secure, and onboard resources for the program.  Lead projects with Sales Managers, Bid Managers, Delivery, Engineering, Commercial Managers, Sourcing and Procurement Managers, Global Solution Directors & other functions as required.
  • Track progress against project milestones and holding others accountable for assigned tasks
  • Schedule internal and external program meetings while also tracking and following-up with action items
  • Develop new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization.
  • Develop a budget and operating plan for the program.
  • Develop an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and team member performance.
  • Implement and manage changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Analyze program risks.
  • Develop understanding of the competitive environment. Support the sales team in quality find & capture plans for target markets & opportunities, as well as winning proposals.  Develop & qualify opportunity pipeline. Contribute to long-term planning.
  • Make recommendations based upon a thorough understanding of Alstom, our customers and market dynamics.
  • Identify, prioritize, and target opportunities
  • Coordinate media & marketing initiatives / events to promote the parts 7 CRO organization.
  • Comply with and undertake all relevant Environment, Health & Safety measures, and activities.

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree from an accredited university in business or in engineering
  • At least 15 years’ experience in rail or related business or project industries
  • At least 10 years of strong experience in project management and/or in program management.
  • Experience in the parts, repair and overhaul business required.
  • Proven experience managing a team.  Integrative team working style
  • Proven stakeholder management skills.
  • Business Acumen
  • Extensive experience in a project planning and scheduling, including resource and cost-loading, forecasting.
  • Proactive and efficient responses to pressing issues and challenges
  • Ability to persuade and influence others
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build relationships
  • Strong project management, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Proficient user of Word, Excel & PowerPoint
