The new IS&T operating model focuses on business value and innovation while delivering operations excellence. For our US teams, we are looking for a new IS&T Business Partner.

  • Expertise on emerging technologies with ability to deliver Proof of Concepts
  • Pro-active innovation investigations on market products and best practices

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • The IS&T Business Partner focuses on the business needs across transverse and extended ecosystem while maintaining global cost efficiency and customer satisfaction within the Region.
  • Be a strong solution architect that bridges the gap between business problems and technology solutions within Alstom.
  • Build a strong relationship with executive senior management in the Region to align and coordinate their respective strategies with transformation programs and ensure demand management.  This includes bids and tenders, contract support and local activities.
  • Stay connected with business and the regional/cluster IT Business Partner to manage expectations regarding SLA delivery, IT spend, and specific IT challenges in the region.
  • Communicating & representing global IS&T Strategy, understanding, supporting and enabling the Global Digital Business Transformation program of the company.  
  • IS&T Transversal projects delivery with multi stakeholder's alignment.  Collaborate with project teams when needed to ensure timely delivery and quality of key project deliverables in the region.
  • Drive the team to act as a change agent at the local sites to drive and enforce IT policies and guidelines.
  • Participate in the change management efforts for implementation of policy changes, projects and/or transformation to the Alstom end-user or local infrastructure environment
  • Help improve adherence global IT standards and processes and help adapt global procedures to specific local requirements when needed
  • Be flexible for local needs but manage global processes, also remain available on-call for local emergency situations at times.

 

DESIRED PROFILE : 

  • Graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or Technology,
  • Should have at between 5 and 10 years of experience in IT, preferably in areas like strategic partnering with executive level teams
  • Strong communication, general management and people management skills.
  • Have participated in ERP implementation and/or program.  SAP knowledge preferred.
  • Demonstrates strong overall understanding of business processes to support functional workstreams through the IS&T landscape; ie:  Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Supply Chain, HR, MMIS…
  • Should have sound understanding and relevant experience in managing ITIL processes and framework, IS&T tools, hardware, software and practices in order to effectively implement and support IT and End User Community.
  • Ability to collaborate, influence and motivate cross-functional teams
  • Ability and flexibility to adapt to change, including shifting and competing priorities
  • Demonstrate a strong customer, quality, cost and delivery focus
  • Demonstrate collaborative work approach with strong abilities in relationship management
  • Fluent in English, the candidate should be able to work with autonomy in a multi-cultural environment and ready to face the challenges that Alstom has to offer.
  • Some travels across North America will be required
