Alstom has been awarded the PTA Australia's $1.6 billion Railcar Program. As part of the project we will design, manufacture and maintain 246 new railcars needed for METRONET projects and the replacement of the A-series trains. We will also deliver 6 DMU railcars to replace the five diesel railcars that operate the twice daily Australind service between Perth and Bunbury 

 

We are searching for Electrical Tradespeople (including Qualified Electricians, Electrical Fitter or Electrical Trade Assistants) to support our established, pretty great (even if we say so ourselves) Production team here at Metronet, in Bellevue. Key Responsibilities of the position include: 

  • Work as part of a team on the Assembly Line or Electrical Shed
  • Installation and Assembly of looms and electrical cubicles on our rolling stock fleet
  • Contribute to process improvmeents with state of the art and easy to use systems
  • Apply your trade qualifications and experience to support the Project’s production targets
  • Prioritising the health and safety of yourself and others and delivering on quality standards

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience required include: 

  • An electrical trade qualification, A grade electrician licence and/or some experience in the electrical production field
  • Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions 
  • Enjoy working as part of a team and have a general regard for safety
