Could you be the full-time onsite Project Engineering in Ottawa, ON, CA we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, driven, and collaborative teammates. You'll contribute significantly to the Stage 2 Confederation Line Expansion of the Ottawa LRT during the construction and commissioning phases. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including design, maintenance, and stakeholder management), review and comment on infrastructure designs, and much more.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Influencing solutions for design divergences to secure additional funding or resolve conflicts,

  • Engaging with stakeholders to assess the financial impact of design divergences on maintenance,

  • Witnessing field acceptance tests and conducting inspections from Moodie Light Maintenance Facility to Trim Station,

  • Reviewing detailed infrastructure design and providing insightful comments,

  • Identifying and reporting non-compliance issues with designs, contracts, or regulations,

  • Utilizing knowledge of railway infrastructure to inform decision-making processes,

  • Coordinating meetings, preparing communication materials, and tracking project issues


All about you

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Civil Engineering is preferred, but other engineering degrees will be considered,

  • Knowledge of railway track, drainage, traction power, overhead catenary, signalling, communications, and train maintenance infrastructure,

  • Experience or understanding of multi-disciplinary engineering tasks and infrastructure projects,

  • Familiarity with detailed infrastructure design, construction, and commissioning processes,

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint,

  • Power BI experience is an asset,

  • Class G Driver's license,

  • A general interest in the railway industry
