PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Prepare and execute test and commissioning activities for signalling systems on field, in support to one or several projects Manage, as a team leader for T&C technicians/Engineers for wayside (Axle Counter, Point Machines, Signals, Object Controllers etc.)

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES 

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Prepare and execute testing activities
    • in support to one or several Projects on railway signalling systems under the direction of his / her hierarchy
    • according to the testing procedure / documentation and following Sub-system T&C Leader and / or  PrCOM instructions
  • Ensure defects identification and correction (trouble shooting)
  • In the event of a non-conformity observed during the commissioning phase, make a return experience (REX) towards the project, and ensure that all design related issues are correctly reported in the adequate tools, including the defect description and associated test context
  • Ensure follow-up of detected issues and deliver the commissioning reports.
  • Check that the test tools are in perfect working order and calibrated.
  • Support V&V team and perform test in lab as per request
  • Deliver the committed performance in terms of Quality, Costs and Deadlines and in compliance with Alstom policies, local standards and regulations (in particular EHS and Railway Safety)

  • Efficiency and proactivity during the execution of the T&C tests
  • Compliance to EHS (Zero Deviation) and Regulatory standards
  • Quality of anticipation, monitoring and reporting

 

 

 MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES

Educational Requirements

 

Mandatory:

  • Master/Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably electronics or embedded systems) or equivalent experience.
  • Good knowledge of English language (read, written, spoken)

 

Desirable:

  • Railway and signaling knowledge
  • Any other additional language is an asset

 

Experience

Mandatory:

  • 7-8 years of experience in T&C or V&V activities for signaling projects.
  • Deep knowledge of T&C of signaling subsystems (Ex. ATS, On Board systems).
  • Interface with V&V, Design, Installation stakeholders.         

 

Desirable:

  • Previous testing skills
  • Knowledge of ALSTOM rules and processes
  • Quality, EHS and Railway safety
