Key Responsibilities:

During specification and preliminary design phases:.

  • Set up the industrialization planning including all activities: Co-engineering activities, P-FMEA, deliverables mile stones, FAR/FAI.
  • Contribute to build the IMP (Industrial Management Plan) with Manufacturing Engineering Manager..
  • Build and maintain the IMFU (Industrial Maturity Follow-up).
  • Estimate Method Time and perform a preliminary line balancing.
  • Identify critical process steps where to perform detailed Process FMEA and full FAR / FAI. 

 

During detailed design phase and before Serial GO:

  • Manage the industrialization activity using IMFU.
  • Run P-FMEA meetings.
  • Ensure that industrial documentation is issued in due time with the good quality level.
  • Monitor the process Method Time vs target.
  • Perform detailed line balancing and ensure the successful completion of the task sequencings.
  • Participate to FAR and FAI activities in order to validate product design and process industrialization.


After Serial GO:

  • Manage industrialization of the retrofit after engineering changes.
  • Contribute to industrial Return on Experience on manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure workshop layout drawings stay updated.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, mechatronics, or electrical engineering
  • Strong knowledge of Engineering and manufacturing processes and tools, IT-Systems, design documents, CAD
  • Hold concern for clarity and accuracy, understands manufacturing as an internal customer and engineering as an internal supplier. Sense of urgency and drive for improvement.
  • English, read, written, spoken.

 

Desired Knowledge / Experience

  • Engineering background with 3 to 5 years’ experience preferably in the railway industry.
  • Technical experience of Process Engineering, writing manufacturing work instructions, line balancing, Lean Manufacturing.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Experience in working with an ERP (such as SAP) for Bill of Materials, Routings, Configuration follow-up
  • Working knowledge in Quality, EHS standards and Ergonomics.
  • Knowledge of CAD and PLM tools (CATIA, DELMIA, AutoCAD...)
  • Familiar with IS&T common tools (Microsoft Office).
  • Process FMEA, QRQC.
