Job Purpose:

  • Manage a portfolio of customers and be the single point of contact  for customers.
  • Grow business with customer, monitor project execution and profitability and ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

 

Key accountabilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for customer, and the prevalent authority on all customer issues.
  • Champion a customer-centric culture across the company.
  • Secure and regularly measure customer satisfaction.
  • Guarantee the needed customer intelligence to feed back into our organization all business opportunities as well the trends and concerns to maintain and increase our presence against our competitors.
  • Grow business by selling existing/new products to existing customers to maximize revenue and profits. Identify new business opportunities with customers, understand customer needs, gather customers’ key data including budgets.
  • Be the tender leader and therefore lead the tender team.
  • Contribute to negotiations during tender phase and ensure efficient hand over between tender phase & contract phase.
  • Contribute to the success of the project execution, in partnership with Project Manager.
  • Manage the Profit & Loss of the project, in partnership with Project Manager / Project Director. Ensure timely invoicing and cash collection.
  • Apply ALSTOM rules on ethics and compliances in all selling & customer management activities.
  • Use of Alstom standard tools.

 

Required Experience and Competencies:

  • Graduate Degree in Engineering or Business field. Master of Business Administration or in Engineering preferred.
  • Over  15-20  years of experience in the Rail related industry or project organization.
  • Strategic thinking, entrepreneurial attitude, innovative and creative,  cultural awareness, railway technology knowledge.
  • Experience in a business development, sales or marketing role; international experience would be an asset.
  • Excellent communicator with solid experience in leading teams and in people management.
  • Good commercial knowledge for assessing business risks and opportunities.
  • Resilient and able to deliver operationally in a demanding and changing environment.
  • Intermediate contractual & legal knowledge and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent leadership quality and Relationship Management.
  • Sensitivity to different cultures.
  • International mind set with good language skills.
