PRODUCTION SUPPORT ENGINEER

 

Purpose of the job:

 

Primarily supporting in series production activities, working directly with the 1st tier supply chain & Internal manufacturing sites to ensure

production deliveries are achieved on-time & with the right quality.

 

It is expected that the Production Support Engineer should take a pro-active approach to develop relations with 1st tier suppliers & Internal

manufacturing sites. Executing activities such as Value Stream Mapping to identify opportunities to mitigate waste, identify bottlenecks

& improve process efficiency.

 

Interfacing closely with Commodity Management teams, Engineering teams, Supplier Quality & Regional Projects to effectively

communicate opportunities for improvement, mitigate production delays, production stops and pro-actively locate potential risks that

could have a negative impact to the production.

 

Key accountabilities:

 

· Become primary point of contact (for Technical topics) for allocated suppliers & facilitate internal traffic related to the producer.

· First line support for resolution of day-to-day manufacturing issues.

· Perform value stream mapping activities

  Implementation of production improvements.

  Feedback to internal stakeholders any opportunities of improvements.

· Develop and maintain current process for supplier problem report.

· Key member for the process development for real time product availability.

· Support Sourcing and Supplier Quality teams for Performance & Quality crisis situations.

· Propose improvement ideas and evolution of the tooling.

· Standardise Industrial standards requirements.

 

Mandatory requirements:

 

-Engineering degree in process engineering, electronics, electrical or mechanical

- Business Software and process knowledge.

- Basic knowledge of railway Signaling and/or Infrastructure. § 2 to 5 years experience with special processes (execution, definition or qualification) & relevant manufacturing processes. § Global team collaboration experience. § Good experience on engineering development.
