POSITION OVERVIEW:

To support & plan product quality [quality development (internal and external) and sustaining activity] related to a product families incl. quality management milestones such as Gate Reviews, FAI, audits ... - to produce and obtain approval of the necessary quality deliverables (e.g. Product Quality Plan) - to report quality and safety alerts - to validate evolutions and Non regression strategy

 

Software program Quality

  • Establish the Program Quality plan (including SW) and ensure the proper application during program execution in accordance to the solution requirements or project gap, and to the Alstom processes
  • Support the Alstom digital mobility (ADM) program teams and PM to prepare gate reviews & follow up related action plans
  • Make sure that Delivery reviews (DR), Peer Reviews and Phase reviews are well prepared and fueled for gate reviews (GR) process,
  • Makes sure that Engineering and Safety standards are well known and applied: Alert in case of deviation and Manage corrective actions when necessary, propose improvements when relevant, Manage Engineering Quality inspection.
  • Can improves Quality Engineering standards with the return of experience(REX)/Root cause analysis with concern stakeholders

Software Program execution controls

  • Support the program teams mainly the program core team to prepare gate reviews & follow up related action plans this points almost same as above point 3
  • Manage System Engineering/SW/HW quality assurance activities;
  • Manage process adherence inspection to demonstrate program adherence and manage process waiver ;
  • Realize the quality task needed for System/SW/HW development and V&V activities including sub-contracted activities; 
  • Realize the safety review, the chapter 2 of the safety case and the delivery review according Alstom Safety standard; 
  • Realize safety authorization for direct product sales (no project) does this comes under program quality leader
  • Control programs deliverables compliance through inspection or delivery review that authorize delivery to program customer
  • Report quality and safety alerts and ensure REX process within the program

Measure and improve program quality performance:

  • Manage Non-conformities and Safety issues and facilitate problem solving during related to ADM product portfolio that are used by project in execution phase to reduce the costs of non-quality (8D, REX and standards evolution)
  • Make sure that Engineering team is included in Customer issues solving process(if needed).
  • To Update Quality Engineering KPIs in program review, and propose action plans for improvement when necessary.
  • Propose and follow up action plans for improvement during program review
  • KPI’s tracking
    • Defect non detection ratio
    • Gate reviews conducted on time  &  Gate reviews go on time
    • Milestone hit rate
    • Average milestone slippage
    • Critical defects status & RCA
    • Process compliance percentage
    • Delivery on time for external and internal deliverables
  • CMMI Level 3 required measures and very good knowledge

 

SKILLS & EDUCATION 

B.Tech/B.E Graduate having 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance

 

Technical & Behavioral

  • Rigor, Communication, knowledge of Quality standard (ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI, ECM, CENELEC etc.,.) and quality tools
  • Experience in operational activities and in documentation management
  • Collaboration and team working
  • Capability to Influence toward excellence and continuous improvement
