Key responsibilities and challenges

  1. Ensure internal/customer RAM requirements are followed-up all along the project/solution RAM life-cycle (in accordance with the CENELEC EN 50126 standard), starting from Bid review, then design/development, finally when the system is operating in-field.
  2. Analyze signalling solution architectures by utilizing conventional RAM techniques such as Reliability Block Diagrams, RAM predictions, FMEA/CA, etc.
  3. Participate in Bid Reviews (provision of RAM targets for all system specifications) and Design Reviews (monitoring of RAM issues), support Sales & Project Management during contract negotiations with customers and gather RAM/LCC data from Suppliers.
  4. Review technical specifications, estimate system costs / schedules, plan and lead the RAM process.
  5. Develop alternative and more RAM-oriented solutions to existing problems and perform all detailed work necessary to determine the best solution.
  6. Ensure that RAM requirements, performances and issues are properly taken into account and followed-up during internal and in-field test phases
  7. Support data collection from the field when the system is in operation, promoting use of Alstom standard procedures, Root Cause Analysis and RAM KPI generation.
  8. Implement the FRACAS process to allow failure data gathering at manufacturing and maintenance sites; 
  9.  Obtain failures and operational data (mileage, service delays, etc.), Validate the relevancy and coding of failures. If required, give feedback to site people to improve the capture of information in their system, Analyse failure data (data drill-down) to identify failure trends (systematic);
  10.  Review and analyse FRACAS Data and correct if required. 
  11. Set up & Lead Failure Review board.
  12. Identify trends and open investigation items whenever applicable; (Produce reports to determine the need for further investigations, notify and follow-up the engineering team through the weekly Core FRB team meetings)
  13. Issue FRACAS reports for performance of system and feedback to Operating sites and to Engineering for product and performance improvement.
  14. Reliability growth management for underperforming system. Coordinating with project RAM and safety

 

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (E&C, E&E, CS, Instrument etc.)
  • Knowledge of System, Electrical, Electronics or Electromechanical 
  • 5 years of overall RAM experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Willingness to grow and develop your career
  • Frequent travel to project site
